Job Description

UW Medicine has a need to back fill a particular role in ITS. The position is for an Instructional Designer for a contract starting ASAP through September 27th to design and develop materials in support of the External eConsults project. The candidate will assist the UW Medicine IT Services Clinical Informatics and Support (CIS) Education team from an instructional designer perspective and will be tasked with completing the deliverables outlined below as they relate to the External eConsults project.. This will be approximately 3 month engagement starting ASAP. While some ad hoc remote work may be permitted, this is primarily an on-site position. Please include Phil Hull and Tammy Duretto on your submissions. A right to represent for each candidate is required.

  • Develop content-specific training documentation/materials for External eConsult and in accordance with established training plans to support the External eConsults project.
  • Develop and/or modify instructor-led training, virtual training, and/or interactive eLearning for operations as it relates to External eConsults, to include but not limited to:
    • Courses
    • Modules
    • Lessons
    • Online learning modules
    • Practice exercises
    • Review exercises
    • Review tests
    • Pre-assessment tests
    • Job aids
    • FAQs
    • Quick Reference Guides
    • Just-in-time recorded demos
  • Utilize existing department-standardized instructional design templates to create all training deliverables.

The curriculum/courses will be developed and/or modified and delivered to the following roles:

  • Practitioners (Attending/PA/ARNP/Resident/Fellow) – both internal and from partner locations
  • Staff (RN/MA) – partner locations
  • Front Desk Staff – partner locations
  • Site Administrators – partner locations
